Our 12-month Creative Business Lab is a fast paced environment, developed to emulate working practices in the globally competitive design industry. This postgraduate course is about developing your product from concept to creation.

Whitehouse offers individual studio spaces, a mentorship programme and specialist master classes to support your product development.

: JANUARY 29, 2018

The Creative Business Lab has been designed to offer a variety of pathways that are interrelated and structured around the core subject of design and are taught by our team of technical staff and practicing designers. In this 12-month course you will be encouraged to explore your individual style while being challenged to innovate to the highest standards.

With an emphasis on research and development, and contemporary design awareness the course aims to produce professional and original designers ready to pursue a career or business idea that will shape the future of the design industry.

The Lab will support you to develop truly relevant, innovative design that is not purely a creative activity involving designers in the artistic process – it also recognises the ability to analyse markets, brand and respond to the changes within industry.

Whitehouse Institute of Design intersects with many facets of the design industry and academic communities. Opportunities are offered to students to engage in live international project briefs and competitions such as Levi Design Competition, selected entry into The LVMH Prize, Melbourne Spring Fashion Week and The International Woolmark Prize. Over 200+ Students have been placed in jobs and internships within the last 12 months.

"This course has totally disrupted me (with positive vibes), it’s made me deal with getting outside of my comfort zone and made me realise that if you want to start a streetwear label or a business in fashion, there is a way to do it, and this course has helped me to achieve that by making my aspirations a reality".
